Evanston

Along the Lake Michigan shoreline north of the City of Chicago, the City of Evanston offers a wide variety of housing in quiet neighborhoods. A city in and of itself, Evanston boasts a dynamic downtown area complete with restaurants, local and national shops, movie theaters and service establishments. In addition, Evanston is also home to a variety of renowned educational and cultural institutions, most notably, Northwestern University.

The community is undergoing a resurgence in housing development that began with a boom in condominium construction largely in the downtown area. Neighborhoods offer single family and multi-family living on tree lined streets with exceptional public schools.

In addition to Northwestern University, the City is home to a National-Louis University campus, Kendall College and two large theological seminaries, Garrett and Seabury-Western. Numerous other less known but equally significant institutions make the City of Evanston their home.

Recreational opportunities abound with a wide variety of parks throughout the community, highlighted by a largely uninterrupted lakefront shoreline. Transportation opportunities are excellent with proximity to the Edens Expressway (I-94) providing access to the north suburban office and research corridor as well as the City of Chicago to the south. Public transportation is readily available in several modes including CTA rapid transit trains via the Evanston Express, CTA bus service, PACE/RTA bus service to the western suburbs, and METRA commuter rail lines to the north suburbs and downtown Chicago.
