Ravenswood

This neighborhood is quickly emerging as the next hot place to live on the north side of the City. Nestled between Ashland Avenue on the east, Irving Park Road to the south, Western Avenue on the west and Foster Avenue to the north, this neighborhood has all the amenities of City life and the charm of an older suburb. From stately Victorian homes to newly constructed townhomes and condominium buildings, Ravenswood offers a wide variety of housing styles and choices.

The resurgence in residential development in the area has attracted a number of commercial uses including retail stores and restaurants. Lincoln Avenue at the far east end of the neighborhood has developed into a venue for several different types of restaurants from casual to fine dining and a number of pubs and night clubs as well. In addition, Lincoln Avenue is also the location for the nationally acclaimed Old Town School of Folk Music.
